Vernal Pool Mapping

The Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) and Natural Community Conservation Plan (NCCP) processes are planning efforts that cities and counties use to evaluate and plan for wetlands conservation. The GIC has a botanist/interpreter on staff and can assist in this effort.

Summary

We are including examples from three northern California vernal pool mapping efforts. In addition, the GIC will be mapping Butte County vernal pools in summer, 2007 to support their HCP/NCCP process.
